My passion for photography began just after high school. I found the real drive for photography came from the ability to capture nature, beautiful sunsets, trophy sized deer and meandering meadows.
Once I was married, I discovered that my photography moments were centered around children, parents and grandparents. I was always after that one moment that only happened once… but could be talked about again and again.
Eventually, I took some opportunities to shoot weddings, and a few events. These were opportunities for challenging myself and expanding skills.
As our children grew older, it was a family tradition to visit temples in other cities. We would take family pictures in front of the temples. Those images have filled many scrapbooks!
As my skills have evolved through the years, I have gone from “taking pictures” to creating “Fine Art”. This process goes way beyond taking snap shots. It requires planning and research, time in the field, and then follow up in the lab. The results from this labor of love can be astounding! I have discovered that the beauty of the Lord’s temples is a most exciting subject to recreate!
